Cable Management Solutions for Conference Rooms

Has anyone found a good solution for cable management for workstations and/or conference rooms.  Something that really works.  Not just for ethernet, but surge protectors, video cables, mouse, keyboard, etc?

Thanks in advance

Todd

We use double sided velcro.
Easy to install, but also easy to remove if you need to move equipment around.

For small/midsized organizations I like to use the IKEA cable management platform.

It is cheap and can screw into anything wood.  Cables are elevated off the ground and is sized large enough for a mid-sized surge protector.  They are able to hold all of the cables (under tension) and only expose what you need to the back of the tabletop.  From a distance you can no see the platform if you mount it far enough back on the desk

We have a big problem in our conf. rm with the cables running 2 phone lines & pwr supply for the Polycom from one side & some other cables running items to the table on the other side of the table.  Boss doesn't  want to drill a hole in the table or I would just run it all under the floor. We bought the floor cord protectors but they wont stay stuck to the carpet, chairs roll over them during meetings & it just makes a big tangled mess. I looked on the suggested site above...but still don't see anything that is not similar to what we have that's not working. I am looking for suggestions too.  Tks!

I convinced my management to mod the conf table (Drill and a table mod kit from Office depot "looks like it came with it") We have the MS Roundtable Devive and its a mess for wireing. as for desks we have cloth cubes and we gor these clipps that lookelike vampire teeth that slide down behind the cloth. with the power supplies the ones we ordered had mounting hole so we mounted them.

Just get creative and shop around you will find something i have faith in ya.

We use a combination of double-sided velcro, cable ties with wall mounts, and mount surge protectors on walls or desks when possible.  In conference rooms we have run cable under the carpet to a table and come up through a hole in the table.

Lot's of velcro wraps, and several cable trays.  What I've found handy to do is to tie a small tag to the cable end that plugs into the switch so I know which server is plugging in where.

Interesting "Rain Gutter" solution.  Bulky but effective.

Like the HP MultiService Access Device.  Built-in Wireless is what makes that device interesting but expensive.

As far as cable management, cable ties or velcro strips work pretty well.  Wireless networks are a bonus (ie conference room).  Organization is the key though.
